The Search for the Perfect Coffee Shop

Trip #1: Nougat Bakery and Delicatessen
Address: 600 Queen St. South, Kitchener
Website: http://www.nougat.ca/

My husband and I found this little gem on one of our random drives around Kitchener. It was quite the experience walking in and discovering this adorable multi-level cafe and shop. We only stopped in for some coffee and dessert, but they seem to have quite the lunch and dinner menu as well - definitely something we'll have to try down the road. The thing I loved most about this place is the decor - even the outside appearance makes it feel like you're walking into a quaint little cafe in Europe. Highly recommended!

Trip #2: Cafe O Roaster and Bakery
Address: 901 Victoria St. N, Kitchener
Website: http://www.cafeo.ca

Although this is quite a small little cafe, it still has a great atmosphere. My husband and I went with a card game and spent the afternoon here together. We each ordered a Belgium waffle served with fresh fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce (only 3 bucks!!). The waffles were AMAZING and we will definitely be headed here again. Great little place to read and grab a cup of coffee.

Trip #3: Timeless Cafe and Bakery
Address: 305 Northfield Drive E, Waterloo

This has got to be one of the most unique places we've been. Converted into a cafe from an old rooster barn, Timeless Cafe is a hidden surprise out in the country of Waterloo. Driving up towards the cafe you might be a little skeptical, but once you walk in it's quite the experience. You choose a place to sit down in the restaurant area out back and someone came out to take our order. They have a great selection of loose leaf teas, hot drinks, desserts, and a really yummy lunch menu. Will definitely be coming here again!
